Java webTools in Eclipse - Getting Started

If you're interested in Getting Started using the recent IBM donations to the java webTools platform in Eclipse, click away. 3 things to note:

  • Lomboz has also been thrown into the project

  • Most of what I've read reviews of says, "use the IBM stuff"

  • The downloads on the Getting Started page can be painfully slow. Make a note of the .zip file you're after and go to a mirror under the respective project. Especially since you can find the EMF and the XSD sdks zipped together (ca. 19MB). The ibm.zip is the real killer tho' (at ~57MB) and I didn't find an alternate source

This week hasn't gotten any less busy, so I hope to have time to try things out next week. I'll let you know.
